A beauty of a bird flew right at me and then landed in a tree nearby. It was the FIRST time I had ever seen one of these at Lake Livingston. they are so incredible I wanted to cry!

I've been in photography for 46 years, starting with a Minolta SRT 101 and finally graduating to the Canon 30D and 50D series. Today I have a Canon 7D Mark II and an Olympus E-P5. But a few years back I got bitten by the film bug again and purchased 2 film cameras, a Mamiya 645 and a Mamiya 645 1000s Medium Format Film Camera, along with a Yashica Electro 35 GTN and a Nikon F3HP to play with.. I just love it. I started working in my 20's in the darkroom with the old fashioned "rock the tray" developing method. I shot with a camera as big as a car for many years in the printing industry. There I learned the "feel" of what my settings should be....
