Description
The headquarters of the Croatian National Bank is located on the Square of the Great Slavs.
The building in which the seat of the Croatian National Bank is located is protected by the cultural heritage and the most important work of the architect Viktor Kovacic. The imposing palace was built for the needs of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Values, and the central bank has been used as a business center since the end of World War II.
The building is recognizable on its facade which is covered with white stone of Brač. The main facade is emphasized by the performance of the four tall Ionic columns standing on a classic base and wearing a simple crown and reminding the Greek temple.
The monumental impression that divides the facade is also transmitted to the entrance space.
The story of the palace of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Values is closely related to its founding and work that lay in 1907. It was officially opened on June 18, 1927.
