I think this would be a very hard job to have. A Mounted Police officer has to work in the cold, the heat, the rain etc. I saw this officer getting his rain jacket out because it had started to rain that day in Manhattan, just after 911

Wonderful photograph with great pose, perspective, light and shadows, and composition,Linda! You're right that a mounted police officer has a physically tough job, on top of all the responsibilities of a NYC Police officer. I'm thankful that they are out there protecting all of us!
